About General Machine of Anderson
General Machine of Anderson, less than a mile from I-85 in Anderson, SC, had been a small two or three person operation for several years when Mike and Debbie Ertzberger decided in 2002 to purchase and expand the fledgling business into an award-winning machine shop. Now employing around 50 technicians and support staff, General Machine is proud to provide services to a long list of local, national, and international industries in textiles, automotive, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, plastics, pipelines, appliances, chemicals, hardware, household products, to name a few, and individuals.
Customer satisfaction and rapid growth played key roles in General Machine’s being named 2004 Small Business of the Year by the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce.
Mike Ertzberger, President and CEO, has more than 30 years in this business, most of them as foreman and owner. He uses his vast experience to help all types of industries and individuals with their machine shop needs.
We are thankful to every one of our satisfied customers who made it possible in 2006 for us to more than triple the size of our shop. Another major expansion in 2009 added newly acquired fabricating equipment to the Doubletree Drive plant. See equipment list for a complete listing.
We are thankful to every one of our satisfied customers who have made General Machine a fast-growing machine and fabrication shop. We hope you’ll continue to let us quote your machine shop and fabrication needs.
